In honor of Fisherman's Day, RRPC Recognizes Outstanding Employees and Teams
Savely Karpukhin, General Director of Russian Fish Company, attributed the company's significant accomplishments to the dedicated efforts of its employees. Joining the celebration were Alexander Shcherbakov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; Yana Ryzhkova, Deputy Minister of Forestry, Environmental Protection, Wildlife, and Natural Resources of Primorsky Krai; Sergey Dmitrienko, First Deputy Head of the Vladivostok Administration; and Samir Kuliev, Head of the Primorsky Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Rosrybolovstvo. The speakers emphasized that fishermen from Primorye play a crucial role in Russia's food security and independence, with their products gaining international recognition.
"Our fishing industry stands as one of the nation's greatest achievements. Fish products from companies operating in Primorsky Krai are known far beyond our borders. Today, we face significant tasks related to food security, mandated by the President. Our goal is to elevate the fishing industry's quality, ensuring competitiveness and availability in the domestic market,"
Yana Ryzhkova highlighted the pivotal role of employees in the company's success.
"Russian Fish Company leads the industry due to your hard work. You contribute significantly to the economy of Primorsky Krai, creating jobs with fair wages, ensuring regional food security, and participating in various socially important events and programs. Your efforts deserve profound respect and recognition. On behalf of the Primorye government, I express our gratitude to RRPC for maintaining the company in Vladivostok,"
Sergey Dmitrienko noted that Fisherman's Day is a key holiday for the region, given that nearly every family includes amateur or professional fishermen and those connected to the sea throughout their lives.
"The honorable and selfless work of RRPC employees, along with their high professionalism and dedication, enables the company to produce products that are in demand not only in Vladivostok and Primorye but throughout the entire country. I wish you good health, family prosperity, professional success, new records, and further conquests in the fishing industry,"
Natalia Datsko, HR Director of RRPC, noted that this year the company received the All-Russian HR Brand Award through its key employee program, which has garnered federal recognition.

Guests at the event honored the top performers, demonstrating that the sea favors those with strong character. For their contributions to the fishing industry, RRPC employees were solemnly awarded letters of gratitude from the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, certificates of honor from the Federal Agency for Fishery and the Legislative Assembly of Primorye, as well as "Honorary Fishery Worker of Primorsky Krai" insignia from the region's governor, and awards from the head of Vladivostok.
The RRPC also recognized the highest-performing employees in categories such as Best Crew, Honorable Mention, Best Production Assistant Captain, and Best Caviar Sorting Teams based on A-24 season results. In the "Honorable Employee of RRPC" category, notable mentions included Tatiana Myagkikh, the leading specialist in certification; Yuri Levin, superintendent of the machine-boiler department; Madina Aitbekova, fisherman sailor; Valery Isaev, master fish catcher; and Sergey Smirnov, assistant captain in fish catching.
The best crews were from BMRT "Mekhanik Sizov," commanded by Alexey Makhnov; BMRT "Heroes of Shironintsy," led by Alexander Odobesko; and BMRT "Berezina," led by Pavel Kartav.
Gennady Makarov, working on the BMRT "Heroes of Shironintsy," won the "Best Production Assistant Captain" award. He highlighted that RRPC offers young specialists not only competitive salaries but also opportunities for rapid career growth, which he considers the main advantage of the company.
"I've been working here for eight years and have experienced significant positive changes: I initially started as a sailor, spent five years at sea, then went to school and became a technologist, then a foreman, and now I'm an assistant captain for production. It's a huge leap in such a short period. That's why I enjoy working here. From the inside, I see that it's very easy for young people to build a career at RRPC nowadays and learn something valuable. The company really nurtures its personnel, aiming to help individuals not just work as sailors all their lives but connect their careers with more specialized roles. Ultimately, the most important aspect of our work is a well-coordinated crew, rather than individual efforts. The honors I received today recognize our collective efforts. We will continue to work with full dedication because, for us, fishing is not just a job but a way of life that we have chosen and love wholeheartedly,"
Following the official segment, RRPC leaders summarized the results of the A-2024 season. By the end of the season, the company saw absolute growth in pollock catches among the largest holdings in Russia, totaling 18.2 thousand tons-12% higher than the same period in 2023. The super trawlers "Captain Vdovichenko" and "Vladimir Limanov" led in pollock catches in the Far Eastern basin. During the meeting, various topics were discussed, including the technical operation of vessels, product production and quality, employee training, wages, and future development prospects.
