RRPC Honors Veteran Fishermen on Their Professional Holiday

08/13/2024
The Russian Fishery Company (RRPC) upheld its tradition of celebrating veterans of the fishing industry in anticipation of Fisherman's Day. This year, the company once again organized an event to honor its dedicated employees, offering them a feast featuring traditional "fishermen's" cuisine and presenting them with memorable gifts.

The gathering, held by the RRPC Veterans Council - which consists of approximately 140 members - took place outside the company's headquarters. The veterans enjoyed live music, numerous congratulatory messages, and traditional gift sets that included pollock fillets from the Russian Pollock plant. The meeting on July 6 further underscored RRPC's respect and appreciation for its veterans.

"We value our veterans, remember them, and honor them annually ahead of Fisherman's Day. Around 90% of our Veterans Council attendees come to this traditional celebration, although some are unable to attend due to health issues. We ensure they receive gifts because those who helped the company grow are our pride. Every year, we congratulate them on both professional and calendar holidays. Our mission is to honor their memory, learn from their example, and, of course, support these individuals,"

Olesya stated.

Shaykhislamova also highlighted that RRPC provides more than just festive events; it offers material assistance to veterans, supporting them in addressing social and household challenges.

During the celebration, veterans savored hot pilaf, fisherman's soup, and pastries. The lively rendition of old songs evoked cherished memories of years past. Anatoly Ivanovich Plyako, who has devoted 41 years to the company, shared his feelings:

"Each of these gatherings fills me with wonderful emotions of love for both my colleagues and the company where I have spent almost my entire career."

Mikhail Petrovich Zelinsky, a veteran of over 40 years with the company, reflected on the significance of Fisherman's Day:

"Talking about my profession gives me the same thrill I felt during my first voyage. Now, as a labor veteran, I am especially proud to see the fishing industry thriving in Vladivostok and the younger generation upholding our noble traditions."

Mikhail Petrovich said.

Natalya Yakovlevna Igumnova, an accountant with more than 30 years at the company, expressed her gratitude for the attention and care provided by RRPC.

"It’s heartwarming to know that management is attentive to us, always ready to lend a helping hand, and surrounds us with care. I congratulate the RRPC staff on Fisherman's Day and wish them success in all their endeavors!"

Natalya Yakovlevna said.

RRPC remains committed to preserving and developing its traditions, continuously supporting its veterans and expressing gratitude for their contributions to the company and the fishing industry as a whole.
