The agreement sets the priority supply volume at 2,000 tonnes of pollock surimi and 300 tonnes of pollock roe, which is necessary to secure consistent product availability on the market in quantities sufficient to meet consumer demand. The parties also committed to the continued development of new pollock and herring products in order to keep consumer interest high and promote health through balanced nutrition.
“This is a momentous milestone in our collaboration dedicated to making high quality fish products affordable. With joint production and regular shipments, we will make sure surimi and pollock roe are consistently available on the market. In the meantime, we will stimulate consumer interest in healthy and delicious pollock products”,
The deal binds the parties to launch the joint manufacturing of vastly popular crab sticks in a variety of forms, as well as pollock roe products, to be marketed under the Russian Sea brand and other trademarks. The parties have agreed to work together to propagate a domestic fish product consumption culture and promote healthy pollock products.
“This agreement reflects our strategy aimed at securing a stronger market presence for a broader range of premium quality, affordable Russian fish products. We are positive that, by joining forces with the Russian Fishery Company, we will be able to improve the recognition and raise the demand for pollock products, put consumers on to healthier eating habits, and support the domestic producer”,
Additionally, the parties plan to actively contribute to events promoting the fisheries industry, including support for the annual O, YUM! pollock festival, and to set up information sharing and organizational networking in a bid to strengthen collaboration and expand business connectivity.
