Savely Karpukhin to Head the Russian Fishery Company

05/14/2024
Olga Naumova will step down as CEO of the company from the beginning of June due to the completion of set objectives and the expiration of her contract. Olga will continue to serve on the company's Board of Directors as an independent director.

Savely Karpukhin, who previously held the position of Director of Strategy and Commercial Affairs, will succeed Olga as CEO. Savely will assume his new role on June 1, 2024.

«We thank Olga for her leadership; over these two years, we have built a strong team, achieved high operational results, launched a new fleet, and found right solutions in an ever changing market. Olga is handing over operational management to Savely Karpukhin, who has been with the company for several years. I am sure that Savely's experience and the coordinated work of all departments will continue to advance our strategic goals,»

explained Evgeny Orlov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian Fishery Company.

Olga Naumova took the helm of the RFC in January 2022. During her tenure, the company has dynamically evolved, reaffirming its status as a leader in Russia's fishing industry and a significant player on the global stage. The efficiency of key business processes has been enhanced during this period. The company has established a mentoring system and launched initiatives to retain key specialists, promote the fishing profession, and boost pollock consumption in Russia. The company’s vessels have consistently led the basin in both catch and production. Moreover, the company has quickly increased the delivery rate of new super trawlers being built at the Admiralty Shipyards (OSK). Since 2022, four super trawlers have been put into operation, with two more expected to be launched this year.

«RFC is undoubtedly a leader in the industry; we have succeeded in forming an effective, results-driven team. We have improved the working conditions for our fishermen, optimized production processes for quality output, and revamped our supply chains, including the technical outfitting of our vessels. I am confident that RFC will overcome all challenges and further solidify its leadership,»

Olga Naumova said.
