The Russian Fishery Company for 9 months of 2020 exceeded the planned targets for catch and production and exceeded the indicators for the same period last year.
The total catch amounted to about 255 thousand tons, which is 6 thousand tons higher than the indicator for 9 months of 2019, a record year in terms of catch in the entire history of the company. The catch of the main fishing object - Pollock - exceeded 231 thousand tons, which is 10 thousand tons (or 5%) higher than the level of the same period last year. The company has mastered more than 80% of the Pollock fishing quota, which amounts to 283.8 thousand tons in 2020.
The company continued the trend to increase the output of high-margin products of deep processing. The volume of production of Pollock fillets and minced meat exceeded the indicator for 9 months of 2019 by 16%. Production of another high-margin product - Pollock roe - is 18% higher than last year's level. The total output is 5% higher than in 2019.
RFC maintained its presence in key markets in Russia, China, Korea and Europe at the level of the previous year. In addition, the company has developed new herring markets - Spain and Tunisia. This year, Pollock roe was supplied to the domestic market for the first time. As previously reported, the sales geography was also expanded due to the supply of Pollock fillets to Singapore and HG Pollock (head gutted) to Poland.
