This year, the slogan of the RFC stand was “Pollock: a taste that unites.” At the stand, RFC experts provided exhibition participants with detailed information about their product range, showcased products created jointly with partners, explained the process of building and upgrading the fishing fleet, and shared initiatives aimed at encouraging fish consumption, such as the “O!Mega Taste” festival. The exhibition saw over 50 meetings with partners from Russia and Asia, which resulted in new agreements and foundations for future product supply contracts. As many as 6 cooperation agreements were signed with key market players: Perekryostok Trading, Agama Istra LLC, Putina LLC, Russkoye Morye JSC, Vici-Rus LLC, and Biotech Company.
Additionally, an award ceremony on the first day of the Forum celebrated the winners of the Golden Pollock contest initiated by RFC. The award is a sign of appreciation for RFC partners, singling them out for effective cooperation, development and introduction of new pollock product types, high product quality, and promotion efforts. The award ceremony was opened by RFC General Director Konstantin Globenko, who noted, “Golden Pollock is not just an award, it is a sign of recognition for our shared efforts to develop the industry and spread the idea that pollock products have health benefits." The award went out to five winners: X5 Group, Bremor, Agama, VICI, and Irna. The Fish Union created an additional new nomination, Pollock Innovator. The Chairman of the Union, Alexander Panin, presented this award to Meridian JSC. The Golden Pollock award will become a major annual industry event: a synergy between market leader cooperation and support for innovations in the production and promotion of pollock products.
Furthermore, RFC General Director Konstantin Globenko participated in the Forum’s business program, speaking at the round table “Fishing Fleet: A Look into the Future,” where he discussed the challenges faced by the shipbuilding industry and possible ways to overcome them. Important solutions may include producing equipment parts locally, in addition to government support and reduction of credit costs.
