With the miracle of friendship, RFC and partners make children’s dreams come true
The first week of school started with gift-giving, banishing the Monday blues with a festival to remember. Even though the winter break is over, the magic lingers: at the school's assembly hall, miracles happened again and again.
"Father Frost is, of course, in charge of granting winter wishes. But he has faithful helpers—reliable and always ready to lend a hand. They are true friends, both to Father Frost and to us. These friends are Russian Fishery Company, the PrimaMedia partner network, and, of course, the Dynamo basketball team,”
Father Frost's helpers also visited the boarding school students last December. The children received gifts and learned to play basketball with the professional team members, getting their autographs afterwards. We collected the children's letters with their wish lists. After such meetings, it's particularly heartwarming to know that our young friends are looking forward to getting not just toys, but also useful items that will help them study.
For RFC, participation in such projects is not a one-time action, but part of comprehensive efforts to support social and educational institutions in the region, including boarding schools and facilities for students with special needs.
"Every adult is immeasurably happy to play the part of a kindly wizard that's helping children. We appreciate seeing children get excited not only to play, but also to develop, gain knowledge, and strive for new achievements. Thank you to every participant of the project, fans and athletes of Dynamo Basketball Club, and our colleagues from PrimaMedia! Together we make the world warmer and brighter. May the future bring new achievements and colourful adventures!"
At the gift-giving ceremony, each child received the present of their dreams. These included radio-controlled cars, soft toys, and other long-awaited surprises. One of the most unusual gifts was a 3D pen, requested by children aspiring to create art and animation. All this was more than a pleasant surprise: it was a display of support for these children’s interests and small yet immensely important projects.
"In truth, Father Frost is a character that lives within each of us. And I really hope that the children who received presents today will become winter wizards themselves when they grow up, bringing the same joy to other kids,"
As the ceremony's closing act, the Galaktika band performed a song in sign language for the children. The Boarding School students are also invited to Dynamo's Russian Cup basketball match on 28 January.
